Think again
Today let us reflect on loyalties.
You are loyal to your religion. To your country. To your people. To your political parties.
Rightly so. It is not just a psychological need but a biological one. You feel safe in a group that looks and sounds like you. This is your evolutionary gene at work. You will survive better in groups. You want your group to be the fittest to survive as an individual.
However
This world, dear friends, works now on INTERDEPENDENCE and INTERCONNECTIVITY. We are the most connected in physical and virtual space we have ever been.
Fire, poverty and virus of one country will soon reach your borders. Online campaigns have global reach now; these can be fascist, these can be revolutions of peace. Either way this delusion of living and operating out of your privileged and comfortable spaces with loyalty to your respective shallow ideologies more than the justice for the world is going to shatter before I complete this note.
If you choose to side with an ideology that is built on violence against another group , or if you choose to side with an ideology that thinks it is forever protected by its powerful fathers of capitalism, you are in for an awakening. This violence will enter your own home. This indifference will destroy your own settlement.
Time to open your eyes and see that the fire you might be adding oil in with your hate and your indifference is going to reach your own home soon because that is our world now. One village burns and its torment and suffering will undoubtedly enter your world.
This message is directly addressed to my friends who are so aggressive about their respective political party loyalties when bodies continue to pile up in India. No political party is going to save you. Find your own liberation. This message is also directly addressed to folks in my network whose indifference, insensitivity and close pigeon eyes baffle me. You think you are thousands of miles away from the misery of India so this is not your own problem? In for an awakening , my friends.
Find your own mind. Your own revolution. Your own country. Who are you without these fathers you have surrendered to? What is your identity without these affiliations you hold on so tight to as if your life is dependent on it? Without these check marks, who are you ? Happy searching.
