Song of midsummer

sky of gloom
explodes into
pink layers
violet shades
of a horizon
so quiet
I hear
the hummingbird
call my name
telling me
where I walk
is the land
of one mystic
one poetess
from another
world
another
time
*
stops.
she writes now
this song of midsummer
this longest day of light
as her pen moves
even sun stands still

Little something on the summer solstice. Would love to hear if and how you all celebrated. We had no sun today continuing on to last few weeks of June gloom here in Los Angeles. As gloomy as the skies were and chilly the air was, I did manage to go out for a walk during the sunset time, and it was so divine. With the flowers swaying in the gentle breeze and a little hummingbird in my sight a few times, I could still feel the sun in my heart shining brightly gifting us with the abundance we have on our earth. I feel the magic of summer solstice tonite. I have gratitude for all in my life right now, and I have prayed to illuminate the areas which need more light. Happy summer solstice to you all:)
