Human

Such a surreal time to be living in.
.
I know we say that this is not the first time humanity has faced times like this, and yet, we are in an unique realm where we are for the first time connected in such strange ways.
.
No other generation was meeting a person across the world , a stranger , not in person, but in a set up of technology, and arranging their most intimate thoughts and feelings in front of the stranger for them to gauge, explore and respond to as it connects and relates to them.
.
What is even the definition of a stranger and a beloved anymore? All definitions lost, we are in the process of an other worldly swim where the possibility of someone understanding and accepting your eccentric self is not just restricted to proximity or material. I do not want to romanticize human over technology, or an authentic text over a superficial warm hand , neither is a sole winner. It is the experience of this strange yet unique and magical time of possibilities and explorations for a better human existence.
.
When I sent this message to this writer on Medium I have known only through his writings for a couple of years, one I have been a big reader fan of , my thought was that he will understand my struggle , he will understand, and will have the words. The words. He was the only one I could think of to send this message . But never had I remotely imagined that he will have this response where he simply writes about this tender tale of his very same day experience of rescuing a baby woodpecker girl. And I thought to myself what a surreal beautiful thread here where he held my heart in times of turbulence with such a beautiful story of humanity. My heart was full and I dreamt of two white woodpeckers flying across the big moon last night.
